Artist Bio
Shayla is an artist living and working in Canton, Georgia. She has her BFA from The University of Georgia in photography and works with acrylic and mixed media to make contemporary abstract paintings. Shayla’s main sources of inspiration are nature and the landscapes around her.
Words from the artist:
“My paintings are a way for me to process the world around me and preserve moments in time. My expressive abstract style is my way of working through anxiety and perfectionism. While the art and the process is very personal to me while I am creating it, I want the viewer to see their own experiences in the piece as well. I aim to make art that is both approachable and personal at the same time.”
